What is Assessment Mode?

Assessment Mode is a specialized funnel type designed for testing and evaluation. Unlike traditional quizzes or surveys, assessments track correct and incorrect answers, calculate scores automatically, apply optional penalties, and assign results based on performance.

With Assessment Mode, you can:

Correct Answers & Scoring

Assessment Mode allows you to create fully scored assessments using supported question types.

1. Supported Question Types

   • Single Selection

   • Multiple Selection

   • Yes / No

For each question, you can:

• Mark one or more answers as correct

• Assign point values

• Calculate scores automatically upon submission

2. How Scoring Works

When a participant submits an assessment:

• Correct answers receive the assigned points

• Incorrect answers receive zero points (or a penalty if enabled)

• Skipped questions receive zero points

• All points are combined to create the final score

Penalty Points

Reduce guessing and improve assessment accuracy with optional penalty scoring.

1. How It Works

   • Enable Penalty Points for individual questions and specify how many points should be deducted for an incorrect answer.

   • Example:

     • Question Value: 1 Point

     • Penalty: 0.25 Points

   • Results:

     • Correct Answer = +1 Point

     • Incorrect Answer = -0.25 Points

     • Skipped Question = 0 Points 

Penalty values can never exceed the question's point value.

Timers

Control how much time participants have to complete the assessment.

1. No Timer

   • Participants can take as much time as they need.

2. Overall Timer

   • A single countdown timer runs for the entire assessment.

   • When the timer reaches zero:

     • The assessment is automatically submitted

     • The participant's score is calculated immediatelyy

3. Per-Question Timer

   • Each question receives its own countdown timer.

   • When time expires:

     • The current question ends automatically

     • The participant moves to the next question

Instant Answer Feedback

Provide immediate learning reinforcement after each answer.

1. Correct Answer Feedback

   • Display a custom message when a participant answers correctly.

   • Example: "Great job! You selected the correct answer."

2. Incorrect Answer Feedback

   • Display a custom message when a participant answers incorrectly.

   • Example: "Not quite. Review the concept and try again."

   • Both feedback types can be enabled independently and customised per question.

Assessment Rules

Control participant behaviour throughout the assessment.

1. Lock Answers After Selection

   • Once a participant confirms their answer, it cannot be changed.

   • Perfect for formal examinations where answers should remain final.

2. Hide Previous Button

   • Prevents participants from returning to earlier questions.

   • Useful when answer review is not permitted.

3. Shuffle Question Order

   • Randomises question order for every participant.

4. Show Correct Answer Immediately

   • Highlights the correct answer after confirmation.

   • Participants instantly see:

     • Which option was correct

     • Whether their answer was right or wrong

   • Great for training and educational assessments.

Anti-Cheat & Security Controls

Reduce cheating and maintain assessment integrity with built-in security features.

1. Tab Switch Detection

   • Detect when participants leave the assessment tab or application.

   • You can:

     • Set an allowed number of tab switches

     • Display warning messages

     • Automatically submit the assessment when limits are exceeded

2. Disable Copy & Paste

   • Blocks clipboard actions during the assessment.

3. Disable Right Click

   • Disables the browser context menu to reduce content copying.

Flexible Result Logic

1. Pass / Fail Threshold
